    The worst thing - and this has been the case on every single visit - is the lack of service or engagement of any kind with whoever is working there. Last visit saw the 20-something blonde behind the counter doing her nails and totally ignoring me and others who had wandered in.

    I go to Byron often and Retrospect a few times now. Some of the artists who exhibit there are great, but the experience has always been underwhelming.

    My most recent visit (October. 2012) saw the usual chaotic hanging, with the best work hidden behind the front door. It's more of a shop with interesting stuff than a serious gallery, I think.

    Had enough! There are other good galleries in the area, outside of Byron. Actually there are one or two truly great ones. Get in a car and head west if you love art and finding out about the artist/s who make it. You won't get any satisfaction from Retrospect.
