  The staff welcomed us in, we were fresh from the beach. The first thing we ordered were the coconut cocktails. We got such a surprise when we were served a whole coconut impaled by a mini bottle of rum. This drink sets the pace for the rest of the menu at the Bolt Hole; everything is fresh, creative and done just right. The decor is homely and relaxing but the spectacle outside the food and drink is really the magnificent sunset that shines through the whole place. When the sun went down, we ordered a mixed meat platter and were told knowledgeably about the Texas smoker. The way the meat was cooked makes this the only place in Byron to get such a solid feed. The meat was tender and aromatic. The crispy chips on the side made us thirsty for even more fresh cocktails. After dinner, I enjoyed "A smoke and a pancake", another one of the signature cocktails. I also had a chat with a few of the other patrons about keeping things classy. We all agreed that Byron needs more venues like The Bolt Hole but the way this venue has been set up and managed makes me think it will remain the outstanding best in Byron for a long future.

  Best bartenders in Byron. Was impressed with the quality of drinks, fantastic service and drinks knowledge of these guys. Great little bar!
