  This restaurant should get a 5 star review. It has all the potential of a great restaurant, its beautiful and does do good food. Sadly the service at The Roadhouse brings it so far down that I won't be going back and I think you'll agree it will have you wanting to leave very quickly. For the price tag this place puts on it's food and drink you would expect your server to provide a level of service that at least would be considered courteous. You would be lucky to get a smile from someone here. More often than not its annoyed server with a sarcastic comment or just flat out rudeness. I tried to give this place a few chances I've been more than 5 times but every time is the same. Do yourself a favour and give it a miss, there are plenty of other great restaurants in Byron.

  EDIT: after the owner’s response I should point out that this visit was several weeks ago when the kitchen was, in fact, open.

  Visited here once before so was excited to take some visiting friends to Byron here. Unfortunately we received some of the worst service and food I have encountered in NSW or QLD. Barista appeared snobbish and struggled to mutter more than a few words, pork and fennel sausage was grossly undercooked, coffee was all burnt and to top this off, the meal came out an hour late. AVOID this macabre establishment.

  The locals at the Roadhouse look so chic and effortless, making it for a great people-watching experience. Delicious breakfast and great coffee! Really enjoyed my mornings here!

  Our go to cafe every Byron bay trip..! Beautiful food, lovely cocktails and super friendly staff... Love..!

  Nice location and atmosphere. Some staff quiet blunt with their service, coffee is excellent.
